Music & Family
In my blog, I will be interviewing my mom about the music he listened to when she was younger, in her years, and what he listens to now.
Malik- How important was music to you?
Mom- Music was very important to me because without music I would have not gotten through some of the hard time and days I had back then.
Malik-Can you name a hit song from the past year?
Mom- Fantasia- When I see You, 2 pac- All Eyez On Me, 2 pac- Dear Mama
Malik-What genres of music do you like?
Mom- I really like the 90s music but I starting to like the 2000s music more as I start to hear it more.
Music has been a lifeline for me during hard times. The music speaks to my struggles and challenges, and the lyrics resonate deeply, making me feel understood and less alone. When I'm going through tough moments, hip hop provides a form of catharsis, allowing me to release build up emotions and find solace in the music.
Engaging with music has also been a source of healing for me. Whether it's writing my own music, dancing, or even just appreciating graffiti art, these creative outlets have allowed me to express myself authentically and find a sense of purpose. The artistic practices within music help me process my emotions, channel my energy, and find a renewed sense of hope and identity.
the inspirational stories shared by music have motivated me to keep pushing forward, even when things seem impossible. Hearing about their journeys of overcoming obstacles and achieving success against all odds reminds me that I, too, can overcome my own challenges. It's a reminder to never give up and to continue pursuing my dreams, no matter how difficult the road may be.
