about me and music

 Hi everyone! I’m Malik Bromell, and I’m a basketball player at Converse university. I’ve been playing basketball since middle school l. I started really taking basketball seriously in my senior year and then that’s when I got my first offer from converse. But I have been playing basketball for a long time but it just took me a minute to really get good at it. Now I am at the converse playing on the college level on what some people dream of and I hope one day I could play overseas and in the nba.




I grew up in Greenville sc. I lived there all my life but sometimes I like living here and sometimes I don’t because it comes with bad and good things. The high school I attended was legacy early college and that’s the school most kids wanted to go for sports and school. I have four of our siblings and they get on my nerves but I still love them. But my life on this earth has been the best so far.







1.One of my favorite artists for the past years is Rod wave. Rod Wave's first song was Heart on Ice and that song is a hit till this day. Hearing that song made me see some people feeling hurt by our people. When he came to Greenville SC he packed the whole place out so he’s a big artist. His music makes me see life too. Another thing I enjoyed from Rod Wave was how much of an adult he became because most rappers talk about guns and more bad things but he really talks about how life treats him and his love life so I really respect him as a man.




2. An example of music that's deeply important to me. One music that's really important to me is end of the road by rylo rodriguez. This piece of music is important because it's talking about the loved ones who died in his life.I related to him because my uncle died in 2021 and he talked about how he loved and really missed them and he will really do anything to see them one more time. I really feel this song because I would do anything just to see my uncle again and just let him know I made it in the basketball stuff and he would be proud of me right now cause he told me to keep going.

    Hi Malik, I also enjoy rod wave's music. I agree with his first song heart on ice still being a hit till this day being how it connects with other people and myself emotionally.

    Hi Malik! I really like that you talked about the emotional connection and reason behind why you like "End of the Road" by Rylo Rodriguez and I am so sorry to hear about your uncle. Like you, I too find that the songs I like most are songs that I can personally relate to and songs that I can attach a strong emotion to.

    Hey Malik, one of my top rappers is also Rod Wave. I would have to say my favorite song by Rod Wave would be "Rags to Riches". I also like the song "Heart on Ice" and believe that this song connects with a wide variety of people.

  My life has always been greatly influenced by music, which I use as a means of inspiration, comfort, and self-expression. I can't help but think about how gender and music are deeply connected as I move around the world of music. This relationship spans several areas, including the depiction of gender in song lyrics, industry dynamics, and the influence of music on gender identity and empowerment. The ability of song lyrics to sway people's notions of gender has me overwhelmed whenever I listen to music. They represent society's expectations and ideals, either upholding or opposing gender norms. I'm annoyed by the sheer number of songs throughout history that promote gender stereotypes and objectify women.
